Havana by Car

Would you like to experience the colonial flair of the Cuban metropolis? Then discover all the Cuban capital's sights from the back seat of a car. Immerse yourself in the traffic of the city, and witness the locals and sights. Your chauffeur will transport you past all the impressive highlights of the capital. With your guide, you will then explore the old quarter of Havana on foot.
Directly at the Paseo de Marti is the splendid Parque Central, which forms a green oasis in the center of the city surrounded by colonial buildings. Directly opposite is the replica of the Washington Capitol, El Capitolio, which was the seat of the Senate and the presidential house from 1929 to 1959.
From there, this Havana tour leads you to the most beautiful colonial square of Havana, the Plaza de Armas. In it, the statue of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, the independence fighter. A favorite adjoining building is the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales built in the late baroque. Previously, it served as the seat of the Spanish governors. Today it is a museum that houses the gilded Salón dorado.
You will arrive at Plaza Vieja, which after years of construction work, shines again in new splendor. The square is surrounded by colonial buildings with ornate arcades and is decorated in the middle by a fountain.
The Calle Obispo continues southward. The Havana city tour takes you across the old town. Full of bars, restaurants and cafes, the famous Hemingway Hotel, Ambos Mundos, is also located here.
After an included lunch, you'll leave the old town and continue to the largest Spanish fort in America, the Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabana. Around the fort, a wall stretches over 700 meters, which is meant to protect the interior of the complex. In 1959, Che Guevara built the well-known Commandancia del Che, the command center of the Revolution.
