Diving in Havana
Learn how to dive in one of the most beautiful diving regions of the world and experience Cuba in a very unique way. After the first few theory classes you start practicing in a pool. Afterwards you can dive into the Caribbean Sea. Beside the spectacular deep waters, you can also get to know vivid Havana. Choose from many different options for your free time: How about a Classic Car Tour or the famous Tropicana Tour? You can also extend your stay and visit Viñales or Las Terrazas. If you can't get enough of diving after your tour, you can also use your certificate and go for another diving tour on the Cayo Largo or in Playa Girón. Itinerary
Today you will be arriving in vibrant Havana! We can arrange to have a transfer awaiting you upon arrival at the airport to take you to your accommodation. Note: we recommend selecting Sunday as an arrival day.

Hotel in Havana, 3* Standard On your second day, you'll meet your diving instructor and start your lessons! These will continue on during the next few days, first in a pool, then when you're ready, heading to the ocean for your four open-water dives! There, you'll get to see and explore the fascinating underwater world next to Havana. Don't worry, you'll also have plenty of time to explore the city as well. We also have Optional Offers for you to book to further improve your time and trip. Be sure to take advantage of what Havana has to offer both in the water and on land!

Hotel in Havana, 3* Standard Breakfast On your last day you will participate in a final test and will receive your certification. This journey ends today but the perfect extension for your diving holiday would be our diving package in Playa Giron. You can use your newly achieved certification and discover the underwater world of the “bahía de los cochinos” (Bay of Pigs). You could also go on our diving holiday to Cayo Largo.

Diving Area
The diving area around our diving school is located about 15 km from the center of Havana and offers perfect conditions for diving beginners. After 10 minutes of paddling directly from the mainland, dive into the fascinating underwater world. Gentle tides determine the water there, so that no strong flow is produced. Also, the average water temperature is 24 ° C and the clean water ensures that the seabeds are covered with various vegetation. With coral fish, blue marlines, turtles and reef sharks, you'll be immersed in a diverse landscape of coral and animal species!
Diving Course
Our diving course is led by our instructor, Pepe, who knows this part of the ocean as if it was his home. Since his very first dive during his training as a deck officer, Pepe has completed over 15,000 dives in Peru, Panama, Angola and Cuba. He'll share his 30+ years of experience with you as your instructor. After your first classes, you will complete a few practical exercises in the pool, before doing a total of 4 dives in the sea. With the successful completion of the final exam, you receive the SSI certification as an Open Water Diver.
Havana
Experience Havana during this diving trip. Explore the vibrant city as part of a guided tour, take an old-timer tour, visit the Rum Museum or the Hemingway Museum. Make sure you don't miss Havana at night: when the city really comes to life! Stroll through the old streets of the city and experience the true Cuban way of life. You'll hear music, see dancing and maybe be swept up into the rhythm yourself. Enjoy a mojito in one of the many restaurants and pubs in the old town, or visit one of the famous shows in Cuba, the Tropicana Show or the Cabaret Parisien.

Important Information
- If the mentioned hotels are not available, we will accommodate you in a hotel of the same standard
- Requirement for the diving course is a medical certificate
- Please keep in mind, that you need to take a 24h-break from diving before boarding an airplane. This is to allow the nitrogen which accumulated in the bloodstream during diving to dissipate. This restriction is in line with the guidance and regulations of all major diving organisations.
