  With our Classic Car Tour, you can enjoy the main sights and attractions of Cuba’s capital city. Being chauffeured through Havana, you will become part of the unique Cuban cityscape as you are driven through the narrow streets. With your personal chauffeur and guide at hand, you can discover Havana’s unique blend of colonial charm with the Caribbean spirit of the locals. On the “Paseo de Martí”, Avenue, which divides the old town from central Havana, you will find the impressive “Parque Central”, a lushly green oasis surrounded by colonial palaces. Opposite the park, lies “El Capitolio”, the architectural replica of the United States Capitol, which served as the President’s residence and seat of the government from 1929 until after the Revolution. The most beautiful square in Havana, the “Plaza de Armas”, is also home to a statue of the freedom fighter, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes who looks down upon the modern fast-moving Cuban life. On “Plaza de Armas” you will also find one of the most elaborate buildings in Havana; the “Palacio de los Capitanes Generales” was built in a late Baroque style and is the former residence of the Spanish governors. Today, the palace houses the City Museum, where you will find yourself amidst golden furniture in the “Salón dorado” (Gold Room). Next, your tour will take you to the “Plaza Vieja”, which shines in new splendour following a large renovation project. Colonial buildings adorned with ornate covered passages and cast iron balconies surround the square and its central water fountain. To the south lies the “Calle Obispo” street, which you will be taken along during your tour. This street is sprinkled liberally with bars, restaurants and cafés. Here, you will also find the famous Hemingway Hotel, “Ambos Mundos”. After lunch, which is included in our price, you will leave the old town and head for the largest Spanish fort in the Americas, the “Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabana”. A wall measuring 700m from end to end protects the fortress complex and guards its terraces, moat, drawbridges, soldiers’ quarters, cisterns, storage rooms and vast collection of cannons. The “Comandancia del Che” was built here by Che Guevara himself in 1959. Putting history aside, the rest of the tour will focus on the two things that are practically synonymous with the Cuban way of life: tobacco and rum. You will have the chance to visit the “Manufactura de Tobacos”, where you can discover the art of tobacco production. You can see the “Torcedores” roll the tobacco leaves on their thighs; a tradition which is well known throughout the world. You will finally head to the world-renowned “Havana Club” Rum Museum, where you can watch the production process as it happens. At the end of the tour, we highly recommend that you sample the amber-coloured Añejo rum. Your Classic Car Tour will then end late afternoon, leaving you to relax back at your hotel.
