Sierra Maestra - Custom Package
Sierra Maestra is one of the most isolated regions of Cuba. The rugged and sparsely populated mountain range is famous as Fidel Castro came here in December 1956 to build up his rebel army. The same mountains that housed his rebel camp also boast the highest mountain in Cuba. With a height of 1974m, Pico Turquino is an impressive sight.
Today you'll be arriving to Sierra Maestra and will have the day to start exploring this fascinating region. Located on the northern foothills of the Sierra Maestra, this is one of the oldest settlements in Cuba. We recommend taking a stroll through the city center's before following the path through the mountains. As your accommodation is located in the middle of nature, you can start on several great walks right from your hotel door.
