Today you will be visiting one of the few places on the peninsula with pristine nature, Sian Ka'an National Park. Around 2,000 people live on the coast here and are very in touch with nature. In the Mayan language, Sian Ka'an means "where heaven begins." Find out for yourself where this name originated as you'll be captivated with the beautiful landscape. Learn about the ecological and historical background of the area while visiting Laguna Boca Paila and see manatees, who are sadly endangered. Immerse yourself in the underwater world by snorkeling. The Bahía de la Ascención is a natural paradise with diverse nature and wildlife. See starfish, sea turtles or even dolphins, and let your guide explain the importance of the surrounding tropical vegetation. You'll also travel to the fishing village of Punta Allen where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch, rest and explore before returning back to Tulum full of fresh experiences.
