Torres del Paine Mini Trip
In southern Chile, bordering the Argentinian Los Glaciares National Park, is the equally impressive Torres del Paine National Park. Torres, meaning “towers,” refers to its tower-like rock formations, which protrude upward amongst glaciers, fjords and turquoise lakes, resembling natural skyscrapers. On a multi-day hike, you have the opportunity to experience all of the park’s highlights up close. So get on your way to the beloved vantage points where you can admire the Torres del Paine, the Grey Glacier and the French Valley (Valle del Francés), and more. Be one with nature as you camp in tents, drinking from the crystal clear rivers on the reserve and you may even discover fox, condor or puma tracks along your way!
Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting to greet you and take you to your hotel in a small city in the Torres del Paine National Park, Puerto Natales. Located in the south of the country, Puerto Natales makes up part of Patagonia and is a convenient location for your journey’s beginning. While your guide prepares everything for your second day’s activities, trekking through the Torres del Paine National Park, you are free to spend the rest of the day as you please. We recommend going a restaurant in the city in the evening to try a Chilean fish specialty, Congrio, paired with a freshly mixed Pisco Sour cocktail. Salud!
