Drumming in Cuba with SC Travel Adventures


SC Travel Adventures’ drum course is the ideal opportunity to learn to drum the Cuban beats! For five days, from Monday to Friday, you will spend 90 minutes each day learning to beat the Cuban drum in small groups. You will learn the history and origin of the main percussion instruments and become familiar with the sounds of Cuban bongos and Tumbadoras. The course emphasizes Cuban musical styles. You will get to know the Rumba (Yambú, Guaguancó and Columbia), the Son, the Cha Cha Cha, and various Boleros. At the end of the course you will know the perfect way to beat the drum in various venues. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced drummer this drum course is sure to be an unforgettable experience!

Learn the drums with our highly qualified colleague Miguel Antonio who taught classical percussion for many years. Miguel Antonio has plenty of experience and patience working with beginners. If you’re a beginner you can explore your musical side as you learn the drums! Miguel Antonio also has plenty to teach advanced drummers.
